College Affordability: Returning to School to earn your Bachelor's Degree at ENMU

Life is not linear. The average person holds more than 10 positions before the age of 40, according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. We all have periods of change throughout life and our careers shift with them as we learn more about our interests and employment opportunities change. Often we find that we need new skills and preparation for the next step in our career and returning to school to earn your Bachelor’s degree is an exciting step toward advancing your career.

Affordable quality education
There are several ways your degree program can help you take the next step in your career, but many students also find their college education overshadowed by the cost. Tuition has increased 33% at public universities since 2005, when it was already expensive. At this point, college debt can become a burden for years to come. There is a better way through your higher education than simply accepting debt and ENMU is focused on providing quality education affordably.

ENMU has the third lowest tuition and fees in New Mexico and fifth lowest in the southwestern region of the United States. ENMU strives to provide the community with a unique educational opportunity and is proud to be able to offer a high quality, affordable education. Additionally, applying is free and financial aid may be available to you.

The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree designed for you
ENMU also considers your lifestyle when developing their programs. For example, the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) can leverage your existing coursework to fulfill course requirements and many concentrations are available online, providing you the opportunity to complete your Bachelor’s degree while working full-time.

A BAAS degree is an opportunity to further your career while you extend and enhance your technical expertise.  The degree requires two areas of concentration, and your primary concentration requirements can generally be met with the previous requirements of an Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree or completion of at least a 30 hour certificate program or 30 hours of career-technical credit.

The BAAS degree can also be completed remotely with over a dozen concentrations available online. (See ENMU’s 100% online BAAS concentrations) This flexibility allows students to integrate their education into their existing lifestyle. And with ENMU’s 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio you will have professors who care about your success and know you by name.

ENMU is New Mexico's largest regional comprehensive university and offers more than 90 undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.  They have a diverse student body that consists of individuals from all ages, backgrounds, interests, and points of view.  With affordable tuition and flexible course schedules, an ENMU education is tailored to your lifestyle and puts your career goals within reach.
