What is financial planning?
We always hear about the stock market. The current market value is displayed during newscasts and mentioned throughout the day. Of course what we really want to know is the state of our financial situation and the stock market is just one visible, accessible proxy for that. But the stock market is not the only vehicle for investment and only one component of the economy. The vast expanse of investment strategies, opportunities, and risk management as well as how to combine these components to plan for life events is not as simple as stock market reporting may make it seem.
